Stacy’s Knitting Journal – January

Here’s the day by day glimpse of what’s on the needles:

  1. Worked on Honeycomb Cowl (pattern coming soon) using Rozetti’s Contessa yarn while at knitting group at Barnes and Noble.
  2. no knitting (cleaned by bedroom, and it was worth it. Found a few skeins of yarn and some wayward needles in the process)
  3. Worked on Honeycomb Cowl for about 10 minutes
  4. Finished Honeycomb Cowl and started a new one using Cascade Lana Grande.
  5. Worked on new Honeycomb Cowl
  6. Worked on new Honeycomb Cowl (about 1/2 done)
  7. Helped a few customers with their knitting.
  8. Finished new Honeycomb Cowl (yeah!). Started a lace scarf with Kollage Sock-a-licious.
  9. Knit a few rows on scarf
  10. Knit a few more rows on scarf. Dug out project that got set aside before holidays and looked at it.
  11. Started Bonnie Jean (part of the Feed Your Creativity Series – classes scheduled for 25th and 28th of this month!) using Kollage Riveting Sport.
  12. Knit a bit more on Bonnie Jean. Sewed a sweater together for a customer.
  13. Have started the body of the Bonnie Jean shawlette! Now the pattern is starting to emerge. Decided to start an entrelac sample since there is a class coming up. Using Universal Yarn’s Classic Shades.
  14. Knit a few more rows on Bonnie Jean.
  15. Magazine signing at Barnes & Noble for my design that appeared in Knitter’s Magazine (Cables in Camel). Knit a bit more on Bonnie Jean and my entrelac sample.
  16. Bonnie Jean and entrelac.
  17. Bonnie Jean and entrelac.
  18. Bonnie Jean and entrelac.
  19. Started a new project: leg warmers for my daughter the ballerina. Using FibraNatura Sensational (100% merino superwash). Simple rib pattern, but there has been a request to add some cables. We’ll see.
  20. Continuing on leg warmers. Really need to get Bonnie Jean finished. And the entrelac sampler….
  21. Finished Bonnie Jean! It’s so cute.
  22. A few rounds of Galaxy Capelet before church. That’s a project I started quite a while ago (October or November?). It’s for Gracie so she’ll have a garment that fits to wear at Stitches. I’m knitting it in Kollage Milky Whey on a smaller gauge than the pattern calls for in order to make the capelet smaller. Have to have this done by mid-February, and I think I have about 1 more skein to go.
  23. More rounds on the Galaxy Capelet.
  24. Still more rounds on the Galaxy Capelet. Will start the next skein today!
  25. Started that next skein of the Galaxy Capelet. Worked on leg warmers.
  26. Many more rounds on the leg warmers. I started with just K2P2 rib and added some traveling cables. It’s looking great! More rounds on the Galaxy Capelet, a few rows on a scarf that’s been languishing for a whle.
  27. Picked up the Entrelac sample and knit a bit more.
