Whew! It sure doesn’t feel like October (it’s 85 degrees out today and really humid). You can download the calendar below (button at bottom of post – PDF download). Here are the October class schedule highlights:
Tree of Life Hat designed by yours truly. This is part of the Kollage Feed Your Creativity series, but I’m offering it earlier because it’s a quick knit and perfect for gifts.
Cost: $30, includes kit with yarn and pattern
Dates: Saturday, October 6 and Friday, October 19. Each from 10am – noon. Note that you can attend any one or all of these classes for the same price.
Five Ways to Cast On is a new series we are starting, inspired by the book Cast On, Bind Off – 211 Ways to Begin and End Your Knitting by Cap Sease. Although not required for this class, we highly recommend this book!
Cost: $10 plus supplies. You will need light colored, smooth yarn (wool or wool/acrylic blend is best). Please no novelty yarns! You want to be able to see what you are doing. Needles appropriate for gauge of yarn and a crochet hook.
Dates: Saturday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 24. Each from 10 am – noon. Note that you can attend any one or all of these classes for the same price.
People have been having so much fun making Knitted Monsters, that we’re offering that class again! You can read the complete description here.
Cost: $10 plus book ($19) and supplies. Kits available!
Dates: Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 27. Each from 10 am – noon. Note that you can attend any one or all of these classes for the same price.
Just a quick preview of a class that we are offering in November (Nov 3, to be exact) – Aunt Philly Rug. Jeanne will be back to teach this old time technique of converting strips of fabric into functional works of art. Using a special tool, you will learn how to create a place mat or rug. Kits available. Space is limited. Cost is $15 plus $5 for needle tool.
