Thanks Crafty Mummy! You can use the same technique for the pinwheel block too - and you should end up with a very mini pinwheel at the center of you block on the wrong side. Hmmm... I feel another video coming!

Fabulous tip - it really does make a big difference! Ever since I learnt this I have had a huge improvement in my corners meeting and my seams being less bulky.
Last week I made a pinwheel block for the first time - any tips for getting the middle to sit flat - you know, where all the points meet?

Thanks Millie! I checked out your blog - Sewing and Growing - and it was full of great ideas. Kudos to you for getting a head start on the holidays! I'd love to mention your blog in a future post when I start my series in September.

I have been thinking about and making holiday gifts for several weeks already and have a santa stuff sack already nearly filled. I hope to get my gifts finished early so that I can take orders for making gifts for sale for the rest of the year.

I have been sharing photos of what I have made on my new blog, Sewing and Growing, along with links and tutorials. There are lots of gift ideas there and I will continue posting new ideas for handmade gifts to make for the rest of the year. I appreciate you checking out my sweet new baby blog! Have a great day.

Hi Alana! It is my new WP blog. I love working with WordPress - it's so easy to update, categorize, tag, etc. I think I've only scratched the surface of what can be done. Thanks for stopping by!
