Want to take your knitting to the next level? Does a sweater project seem a bit overwhelming, but you’d really like to try your hand at lace, fair isle, cables, and other techniques? We have just the thing! Feed Your Creativity is a new series of classes featuring yarn and patterns from Kollage. Anyone who is familiar with the knitting department at The Fine Needle knows we love all things Kollage (makers of square needles, milk yarn, corn yarn, and other delightful and sock-a-licious yarns).
This series of monthly classes will introduce you to yarns and techniques through small projects. Price per class will vary from month to month ($40-$65), but includes yarn, patterns, and guided instruction. We are scheduling these classes several times throughout the month to accommodate our knitters – and you can come multiple times during the month at no additional cost. Can’t make the class at all? You can purchase the kit, which includes the yarn and pattern!
Here’s a brief rundown of the classes (and yes, there is a break for November and December):

- September: Cassandra Cowl
- October: Dog Walking Mittens
- January: Fair Isle Hat
- February: Sonoma Socks
- March: French Quarter Scarf
- April: Terrific Tote
- May: Line ‘Em Up Scarf
- June: Syncopated Stripes Socks
- July: Double Lace Shawl
Details for each of these classes will appear in following posts and we’ll be updating this page with links as we create the detailed posts. You can stop in the shop to see our class samples (we’re diligently working on them – August’s hat is done!) The first three months offer projects that would make great Christmas and holiday gifts!
